Wi-Fi Hotspot Management Software?
I have a D-Link DIR-300, no regrets. It is great. But the Tomizone hotspot software (firmware) that it comes with shares your internet without telling you anad it does it in a non secure way. What (free) software or firmware should i use to ensure speed and security?
Thanks dr_ice69 but i really need some firmware to update my router with. Rather than specifying MAC addresses. Because you cannot specify mac addresses with Tomizone, it allows everyone onto your network. Your help is very gratefully received though.

There should be options in the router you can set to allow or disallow access to certain "Mac addresses" aka The unique serial number of your wireless adapter (has nothing to do with Macintosh computer)…
Just disallow everyone except your MAC address (somtimes called a "hardware address")
You can also turn on WEP or WPA encryption, which will make you more secure as well.. Check out your manual to figure out how to login and setup these settings. You shouldn’t need any additional software
