I’ve written a song in time for Valentines day because I wanted to give you guys a gift as a special thank you.

I am also valentine-less but I still feel special because I have the support from all of you guys. I just recorded a clip of me looking through stuff I’ve gotten in my P.O. Box! THANKS FOR THE GOODIES AND ENCOURAGEMENTS! I know I look tired but it’s been one heck of a week with school.

You are all a valentine in my heart – 365 days. The song is a bit emo.. but in the end I mean it to be encouraging!

I actually wrote this song with my friend Ben Bae (thanks, dude.)
We recorded on his computer so it was quickly done. Nothing too fancy shmancy.
And I know a lot of you been asking about it getting on iTunes but the tentative date is march 10!!

Prototype (stylized as “[PROTOTYPE]“) is an upcoming action game in development by Radical Entertainment and based on an original IP developed in-house. The game is due to be released in North America on June 9, 2009, in Oceania on June 10 and in Europe on June 12. The game will be compatable on with Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 platforms. Prototype was released a day early in Australia.

Characters

Alex J. Mercer

The protagonist antihero. Alex has the ability to modify his genetic code on the fly to produce amazing powers of attack, defense, and perception. He can also easily perform superhuman feats of strength, endurance, speed and agility. Alex was an employee at GENTEK, a corporation centered on biotechnology, before the “incident” which took place 3 weeks before the start of the game.

Dana A. Mercer

Alex’s younger sister. She followed in her brother’s footsteps and ran away from home at a young age to fulfill her dreams. She helps Alex by performing research, aided by her studies in journalism.

Karen Parker

A GENTEK researcher and Alex’s previous love interest from before the incident.

Dr. Bradley Ragland

The doctor who examined Alex before he first awoke with his powers. He is one of Alex’s allies against the infection and an accomplished pathologist. His involvement with the virus, and the entire incident, goes deeper than the surface suggests.

Dr. Raymond McMullen

The head of research at GENTEK. Little else is currently known about this character.

The Specialist

Blackwatch’s finest. He has dealt with Alex’s kind before. Nothing surprises him in biological war. He’s seen it all, and is totally merciless. He is well equipped to deal with various forms of the infection, including the player’s character. In a recent trailer, he has been referred to as Captain Cross.

Elizabeth Greene

A name that appears in a document recovered from Alex’s laptop. She is currently in isolation at the GENTEK facility in New York City. It is assumed that she has abilities that are similar in nature to Alex’s. She appears to be a young girl and a recent trailer on IGN shows her stating “The time for waiting is over.” to Alex before attacking him. Also in a recent trailer, Alex released Greene but finds out that she’ll infect everything she touches.

US Military

US Marine Forces are deployed upon a quarantined Manhattan Island. Martial law is declared, and the city itself is occupied when the virus takes on epidemic proportions. The US military possesses battle tanks, armoured personnel carriers and attack helicopters such as the AH64 Apache, in addition to infantry armed with various weapons such as assault rifles, grenade launchers and missile launchers. The Marines set up fortified areas within New York, deploying turrets, guards and barricades on the streets. The player will often have to enter (either subtly or overtly) these areas in order to gain access to military targets in the Web of Intrigue.

After four years in the making, my second album, Ulysses, has officially launched!

Whereas Daylight Savings, my first album, was written and recorded in solitude, Ulysses is a reaction to that; a celebration and collaboration with artists and people whom Ive had the good fortune to meet through the first album.

The call to arms here is helping me cross the toughest threshold; getting my music out to the masses. As an independent musician, this is the bafflingly difficult part, and its nearly impossible to do alone. For that reason, Im writing today to ask for your help. After much deliberation, Ive decided to release this album as a free download.

Specifically, what Im asking you to do is:

In the age of high definition videos, video recorder, and TV screens, Corel’s latest video-editing and -processing app, Corel VideoStudio Pro X3, had better add some HD features to its midlevel tool set aimed at enthusiasts. And it has. VideoStudio Pro X3 adds burning to Blu-ray in addition to the standard DVD format–you can do both with the bonus DVD Movie Factory Pro 2010 app that comes as part of the package.

The app now also sports a darker, sleeker-looking interface. In addition to a simpler menu for easy editing, there’s now an advanced edit menu. Some menu items, feature arrangements, and tabs have been tweaked to improve the accessibility of certain tools. A project mode with built-in templates is also making its way into the app for the first time. The fresh ability to transfer the attributes from one video clip to another may not be monumental, but for many people editing videos, that type of instant copying will be instrumental, not to mention will smooth over a frustrating workflow snag.

As with other Corel products, online sharing includes YouTube and Vimeo video upload sites, Facebook, and mobile phones. In the past we’ve dinged Corel VideoStudio Pro for its slower-than-average processing. Corel now boasts that version X3 of its VideoStudio Pro editor is 2.5 times faster than version X2.

As with other products in Corel’s line, Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 presents a straightforward design and useful editing tools that new users can pick up right away. The program isn’t as strong as professional apps, which can also cost much more, but there are nice tools above basic levels for editing videos and creating projects in multiple formats, including burning movies and uploading video projects. If you’re a midlevel (enthusiast) user who doesn’t relish the fuss of pro software’s many hidden (and sometimes obscure) filters and features, you should give Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 a trial run.

When it comes down to creating videos and photo slideshows, however, the program is top-notch. It even lets an amateur turn video footage into a finished film–complete with transitions, picture-in-picture, and effects–with a minimal learning curve. You can capture video from the program’s interface, import HDV and AVCHD, or import video from a file, a digital camera, or a DV camcorder. The handy interface lets you create an animated title screen, assemble a film by dragging and dropping audio and video fragments, and applying transitions onto the montage line. We like the new paint feature that lets you draw or write freehand on your videos making it easy to add thought balloons or draw your travel route on a map, for example. The new picture-in-picture and montage effects add even more polish to your home video projects.

The video-editing module contains a large library of filters, effects, and tools. You can share your video online, and even burn a VCD or SVCD with the built-in burner. New end-to-end HD support also allows you to import and burn in HDV and AVCHD. Assuming you have enough patience and a great hardware setup, Corel VideoStudio should appeal to home-video enthusiasts.
